While earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Drawing and Painting from the University of North Texas, Elisa Flowers began working as a makeup artist, a hobby that quickly turned into a career. Noticing that her work provided her with the tools to enhance what is already fantastic about her subjects, Elisa was empowered to share this ability. Photography and lighting can change the face in such a way that shrouds natural assets but Elisa’s application of makeup allows those assets to come through, and underscore the natural beauty of her subjects.
Elisa's ever expanding client list represents styles that range from traditional to experimental. Clients have included: Betsey Johnson, Brides Magazine, Bloomingdale's, Bullett Magazine, Clairol, Cosmopolitan Magazine, Donna Karan, Elle Magazine, Instyle Magazine, Moroccanoil, Lands End, Neiman Marcus, New York Times Magazine, Nordstrom, Nylon Magazine, Ralph Lauren, Refinery29, amongst many others with her years of experience.
She has lead sponsored makeup teams during New York Fashion Week. Elisa also continues to share her talents with the American Cancer Society's "Look Good Feel Better" program, helping cancer patients and survivors learn beauty techniques to empower themselves in their daily lives, perpetuating their own healing.
Engaging techniques from traditional painting, she’s able to see the face as a canvas and balance it not just for a human face but also as an independent work of artistic composition.
Elisa is currently based out of New York City.
